Privacy by architecture
Your working data stays private by default.
The practice workspace runs locally in your browser first. AI Amigos does not receive project answers, imported notes, artifacts, evaluations, or generated outputs unless you deliberately prepare a sanitized proof pack for review.
Local projects and optional sync
Projects, stage history, and exports are saved in versioned browser storage. Optional account, sync, evidence-administration, and counsel-mapping layers remain inactive until authenticated infrastructure, row-level-security tests, retention rules, and collection notices are verified. Use Reset or delete a project to remove the local copy; clearing site data also removes it.
Model runs and keys
Manual notes work without an account or model. If the optional BYOK model path is enabled later, credentials must be used for one authenticated run through an ephemeral proxy and never stored, logged, placed in a URL, or returned to the browser. Do not paste regulated or confidential records.
Exports and sharing
Markdown, JSON, CSV, copy, print, and proof-pack export happen only when you choose them. Share actions copy stable page links and never add private inputs or results to the URL. A public evidence record contains only the sanitized claim, method version, tier, source, consent state, limitations, and review decision approved for publication.
Evidence and counsel records
The live site deploys only public schemas and approved public records. Completed counsel maps, petition strategy, attorney work product, confidential source documents, private reviewer notes, and evidence packages must remain outside the public build. AI Amigos does not claim that a public record satisfies an immigration or other legal standard.
Anonymous measurement
Umami is inactive unless a verified site ID is configured. If enabled, AI Amigos sends only anonymous event names and resource IDs. Form fields, evidence contents, and generated outputs are never included.
News feeds
Approved RSS or Atom sources are retrieved during the site build, not by your browser. Only sanitized metadata and original links are displayed. A source without a valid response or cached snapshot fails closed.
Newsletter and contact
Subscription collection is inactive until a provider and matching retention notice are configured. Contact actions open your email application; AI Amigos does not host a contact-form database.
External destinations
External source, repository, newsletter, and verification links have their own privacy terms. Review them before entering information.
